Love seat

This love seat was commissioned as a 10th wedding anniversary present for the clients husband.  The couple had acquired a whales carcase after it had washed ashore on their land and were planning to keep the skeleton. I was inspired by the shape of a whales rib cage. The strong protective shape which is symbolic of how love protects and bonds a marriage.  The ten upright legs were to represent the 10 years of marriage.

The love seat is made from Oak which was unfinished. Over time the oak ages to a beautiful silver gray and blends in well with its natural outdoor surroundings.
