Pulpit

This pulpit was designed for Long Crendon Baptist church when I was studying for my BA (hons) degree at the Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College. I was part of a team that made 4 pieces of furniture for the church. I was fortunate that my designs were choosen for all the pieces. The theme for the designs was taken from the story in the old testament about the Passover where blood of a lamb was sprinkled over the door posts and lintel so the Jews were saved from the angel of death. This was a picture of what Christ would do on the cross and by his shead blood he becomes our Saviour. The red cherry timber along the corners and top represent this.
