Description

The Shetland chair was inspired from the traditional furniture found in the 19th century croft houses. This furniture had a beautiful simple style which looks great in modern homes.

This Shetland chair is made in quality American oak with a pine seat and back. This combination of timbers is what the best antique Shetland chairs were made from. The chairs are made to order and can be made in a variety of timbers including ash, elm and maple.

All joints are morticed and tennoned for superior quality and strength and panels are constructed to allow the timber to adapt to the moisture level in your home. These chairs feature quality Danish oil finish or, alternatively, we also do an ingrained finish where the grain is highlight through a stain technique for a more traditional look and style.

We believe our furniture are real value for money compared to mass produced alternatives. Designed to last a lifetime and it will become an heirloom to pass on to your children.

We are committed to producing high quality, hand crafted furniture. Each piece of Paparwark Furniture has its own brass plaque which is our ‘quality stamp’ with its individual numbered marking makes each piece of furniture individual and a collector’s piece and an investment for the future. Further, the Paparwark logo it carries represents the inspired design that is at the heart of all our designer furniture that we know you will love and hope will move your very soul.
